Binding vs non-binding vs not-to-exceed
A binding quote locks the price. A non-binding quote can change. A not-to-exceed quote is binding at the high end and goes down if your shipment weighs less. Always insist on binding or not-to-exceed for long-distance moves.
Red flags that signal a moving scam
