Morning of: be ready before they arrive
Strip beds, finish the essentials box, and have parking/elevator reserved. Walk through with the crew lead and point out anything fragile or 'do not move'. If you didn't yet, skim how to pack fragile items for last-minute wraps.
During the move + the closing walkthrough
Stay out of the way but available. Before you sign the inventory, do a 10-minute walkthrough of every closet, cabinet, attic, and the garage — this is when items get left behind. Tip in cash: $20–$40 per mover for a half-day, $40–$60 for a full day.
